APRIL 11, 2024

I had an upper respiratory infection for about a week and a half, and I'm finally starting to feel better. I also accepted a 12 week long project at work, but I hope it doesn't interfere too much with my daily drawing. We will just have to see.

I started thinking about making some new OCs, which just adds to the continuously growing pile of projects I've started and dropped. Who can blame me though, sometimes it's just fun to think about working on them rather than actually doing them!! The idea I had in mind is a young man who works as a server and dreams one day of working in a five star restaurant, but of course knowing me it is just a harem plot involving some coworkers and some customers. I just think it would be cute. I'll have to wait and see if the idea really sticks.

I finished re-reading Tokyo Babylon, and it is just as fun yet miserable as I remember. Someday in my lifetime I would love to see an almost faithful animated adaptation, but as years pass by I highly doubt it. The cancelled anime from a few years back looked like it had pretty significant changes, and I'm not sure how I felt about it. Nonetheless, it is cancelled now so no need to dwell on it LOL! I will be picking up X/1999 soon, but I get exhausted quickly when binge reading manga so it might take much longer to get through. I started watching Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle as well and the way Syaoran is a very different person there compared to his appearance in Cardcaptor Sakura really annoyed me as a child and I guess some things never change. I'll keep watching in the spirit of trying to fill out my CLAMP catalog though.

Not much else to share. I'm trying to start blogging again and I am start off pretty light this time. Last time I committed to a blog post with new art and breakdown of the art every Monday, and I felt so pressured and uncomfortable during the entire process that I don't think I can set myself on a schedule like that ever again. One step at time, I suppose!

Song of the day:

Yesterday's Drawing

Best regards, Ken Eliezer ^_^
